What do you think of carpets? Completely out of style?

I would not recommend that then.. With a dust mite allergy, you only get trouble with a carpet.. The dust settles again right after vacuuming and that wouldn’t help much.. If that is the case, I would rather choose a laminate floor and maybe put a small carpet on which the little one can also play...

Ok, that wouldn't be a bad idea either, I haven't thought about that at all... But thank you for the many kind tips...

With small children, a carpet floor may actually be somewhat impractical. On the other hand, however, it is much more comfortable for the little ones to play on...Children spend most of their time sitting, lying, rolling on the floor anyway...and the stains can be removed quickly! My dog peed on the carpet so many times when he was little...with the right cleaning products, it all comes out again! So from my point of view, carpet flooring is recommended in the children's room! And regarding the In or Out question...it certainly depends on which carpet you choose, what color, etc.

I would say carpet flooring is not necessarily practical. -If an ice cream falls on a carpet or cola spills on it, you can take it for cleaning. -A laid carpet floor is already more complicated.

I would also say, a normal wooden floor and a cute children's rug on top is better. -I once had one for hopscotch, do you know that? Anyway, a game was painted on it.

So a carpet can be quite practical: it doesn't slip when you walk over it, is warm to step on and to sit on while playing.
