I was, for example, at Lutz because it’s just around the corner. I wanted to get an overview.
Lamps -> no matter what, there was nothing suitable
Dining table + chairs -> so-so, quality partly not bad at all, so good, but then also expensive
Sofas -> huge selection, personal taste and conditions immediately narrow it down to less than 5 pieces, which are already expensive (over/around 2000€), but they’re not quite what I imagine. I would spend 2000€+ but then it should really be something I like
So my impression is, if you don’t want to spend much money and your taste is not outside the norm or you can simply live with standard or like it, not a bad furniture store.
I just don’t quite like these standard things.
At Lutz there are furniture pieces that don’t look so standard, but they are priced quite high again. That simply bothers me about the price-performance ratio.
Now I could go to Ikea or other large furniture stores again. But basically it’s the same problem as at Lutz.
Then I was also in two small furniture stores. Prices are inherently about 20% higher.
One or the other piece of furniture was/is nice and reasonably priced. But if I furnish the whole dining room, i.e. dining table + chairs + display cabinet + this and that and everything matching, I come to 5000€....
Quality costs and I pay for that, but 5000€ for this is simply too much for me.
Then I still have the problem that my dining room is connected openly to the living room. That means the two rooms have to match each other. That doesn’t make it easier for me.
If I now look around on the Internet, what interests me taste-wise is simply more available.
Only I don’t quite dare to buy there just like that. Totally without having touched it first...
