I would stay away from shades of color. 1. it is usually dark in the bedroom anyway ;) and 2. I think a neutral white is the most calming. I once had a green and a blue bedroom. I eventually couldn’t look at either color anymore.

Well, I can only agree with my predecessors. Bright colors like red feel absolutely out of place in the bedroom; I wouldn't be able to relax there either . On the other hand, pure white seems both too boring and somewhat dull to me. What's wrong with a patterned wallpaper? At least the wall behind the bed should have some color. I also like those light cream tones that someone already mentioned here, but I didn't want it to be too monotonous. And since our bedroom furniture has this brown walnut look, which is so trendy now, I found the dark stripes quite fitting. So, I feel comfortable and can sleep well in this room :)

I can well imagine sleeping in a dark red painted room. It would certainly look good.

Hi,
I find bright colors on the walls simply annoying. Light beige or white, everything else is unacceptable. ;)
With the furniture, a lot of color comes into the room anyway. I don't know any room that looks great with walls that are green or purple or whatever.

So I found your article in Freundin, as it specifically deals with colors for apartment design. There are so many variations and possibilities from wall to window decorations, sometimes it is very difficult to choose the right one. When it comes to wall colors, it is always difficult because once the wall has color, you don't paint it again so quickly. So it should be something you can look at for a longer time. Bright colors etc. don't fit well in the bedroom, rather something calming, Mediterranean colors or cool colors like blue.

I am totally into brown. That's also how my bedroom looks and I think it's great.
