Hello,
Nice approach.
What I find interesting is the separation between the living room and dining room and the huge windows in the dining room. Very pretty.
Here are my suggestions and questions:
1. In the living room - is that the fireplace or a TV? Make sure to paint the chimney! It takes away at least 40x40cm and, of course, all the way up. A chimney must protrude above the roof ridge. That’s why people try to place it as close to the center of the house as possible. Otherwise, you end up with a spire at the edge of the roof – especially with a hipped roof, that looks silly.
2. The stairs were already mentioned. 18.5cm step height was our limit.
3. A bathroom with 2 doors is also annoying, in my opinion. Make sure that the windows illuminate the room. Windows behind walls don’t help much. Windows directly in the shower mean you’ll just be cleaning them all the time, and limescale damage will ruin them in a short time.
4. Pay attention to the exterior views concerning the windows. Scattered randomly is not nice. Windows below the sink – then a mirror is missing. Better above the toilet with frosted glass.
5. Is a balcony planned at the bedroom? Or only a French balcony? Maybe for the kids?
6. Without a basement, be sure to paint the installation in the utility room. Electrical cabinet on the wall, heating, possibly storage tank, instantaneous water heater, water meter, etc. That gets very cramped very quickly, and forget about having a pantry there.

Well then, have fun continuing to puzzle over it. :)

Hi,

first of all, thanks for the initial hints and the constructive feedback, which I am already trying to implement partially.

This partition wall between the living and dining room is supposed to be a wall with an integrated fireplace (three-sided glass). How it will look exactly in the end, we will only specify more precisely after visiting fireplace exhibitions. Regarding the fireplace, we are generally still a bit uncertain. Since we are building without a basement, we received the tip (when planning a fireplace not on the exterior wall) that the cleaning access for the chimney sweep would then be in the living room and that this is usually associated with a lot of dirt. Therefore, the advice to place the fireplace on an exterior wall. What I do not yet know today is whether cleaning from the outside is technically possible at all in the intended construction. I will have to get advice from experts on this as well. Of course, I am also grateful for any tips in this regard. That it does not look that great on the roof may be true, but something is always not quite right ;)

If I make the staircase longer, does the wall to which it is mounted have to be extended exactly to 4.20 m? Or can you calculate one step, i.e. 20 cm, shorter because of the ceiling? I hope I expressed myself somewhat clearly.

Good hint. Then I have to swap the toilet with the sink, since the garage runs along the side where the toilet currently is. So no window option there.

No balcony is planned. Only the French variant.

Oh, I would be careful there. Imagine the asparagus in the view. Then imagine that you see the asparagus every day, but only see the dirt in the living room once a year. So my decision would be clear. Especially since the area around the chimney is usually tiled. One wipe and that’s it.

So yes, I think that should work. Just type "Treppe 1x1" into Google. There you’ll find a stair calculator. I believe the exit step means the last step at the top.
