I would also feel safer because of it, especially since I now see it from the other side: I would have to be quite a brave and above all experienced burglar to break in despite all the surveillance. Of course, I could think that there is particularly much to gain for that reason, but I believe the risk of getting caught is too high for most. So long story short: it should be quite a deterrent.

Well, what you don't write, one can't read either ... at least, this is the first time I am reading this...

Hello ruppsn I had already written this in another thread and assume that ypg has read it through again. Otherwise, the thing with the ringing wouldn't have been readable. Steven

I doubt that people think like that and make such a rational risk assessment. Those who don’t think about it are probably not the brightest bulbs in the chandelier and therefore aren’t deterred. Those who recognize video surveillance / alarm systems are probably correspondingly “trained” and hardened and still go in. There are no limits to audacity. In some cases, people break in during the day, through an open door, fully aware that someone is at home. Those who are deterred by it are probably only a very small percentage. That’s why I stick with mycraft, passive protection is the only thing that effectively helps to prevent a burglary—and even that doesn’t protect against the aforementioned audacity...

Hello ypg

sorry. After reading your post again, I see that you wrote it completely differently than I had read it.
The guys came at me. I could have identified them.
And the spit on my face, on my shirt, and on the mailbox from one of the boys might have been useful to refute contradictory statements.
