Hello,
This proposal is reasonable.
A decentralized ventilation system makes sense whenever the budget does not allow for a controlled supply and exhaust ventilation and is in any case better than nothing! Today's buildings are - according to the requirements of the Energy Saving Ordinance - so tightly sealed that it is difficult for moisture to find its way outside.
Try to honestly answer the following questions:
A decentralized ventilation system without heat recovery costs about EUR 3,500 installed for a small single-family house in the aforementioned quantity. The trouble when moisture causes chaos in the house is incomparably more...
Kind regards
The company's proposal includes fans in the following places
- Bedroom
- Child
- Child
- Guest room
- Bathroom
- 2 in the open living, dining, kitchen area
This proposal is reasonable.
So I understand it in the bedrooms, but in the bathroom you ventilate anyway after showering and in the kitchen as well because of the odors, and since my husband is a smoker, he goes out to the terrace every evening and thus also ventilates the living dining area...

Try to honestly answer the following questions:
[*]Bathroom - do you really ventilate long enough until all moisture is gone ... even at low outdoor temperatures?
[*]Kitchen - the odors and vapors are no joke. A cigarette - I am a smoker myself - is smoked quickly; are the vapors/odors eliminated in this time and does your husband leave the balcony/kitchen door open in winter accordingly?
[*]Living room - every person releases about 10 liters of water into the atmosphere, in your specific case into your living/dining area x 2 and without children. Do you think this water vapor can be removed from the air through your husband’s smoke breaks?
[*]Remaining construction moisture - although today the bricks are glued, the screed needs water ... and not just a little. Even if the heating program is sensibly started during the screed drying process, there is always residual moisture in the house, which is intensified by the aforementioned factors. Do you think you have time in the first year to ventilate by fully opening windows at least 4 times a day for 10 minutes each?
