Ventilation Costs

Hello everyone,

I plan to build a house 12X10, basement, ground floor, upper floor. I plan later to make 2 apartments in the basement and upper floor and rent them out. I read a lot about ventilation that nowadays is a must. Which ventilation method do you recommend (separately for all 3 floors or all together (cost effective))? Controlled residential ventilation cost for 360m2? Which material is the best? Do I have to provide for the shaft holes?

Hello Roxane, I would personally recommend a central ventilation system. For the mentioned size of 360 m², a unit of approximately 500 m³/h is sensible. Device price about 3000 €, plus the components/pipes altogether about 8000 €. Of course, the ventilation pipes should be routed centrally in a shaft or wall casing through the floors, which breaks through the ceilings. The ceilings can (easily) receive openings for the ceiling valves at the precast concrete plant beforehand or (complicated) later with core drilling.
