My architect is behaving as if the electrician is his client and not me. Does the electrician have a point and, for example, do data cables not necessarily have to be laid in an empty conduit and electrical cables do not have to be laid 20 cm away from the wall. The DIN standards are not legal regulations, but private technical rules with a recommendatory character. They can reflect the recognized rules of technology or fall short of them. As far as I remember correctly, DIN 18015-2 reflects the recognized rules of technology; accordingly and if I am not mistaken, DIN 18015-3 would have had to be contractually agreed upon.
