Good morning,
mh? how is the trick to properly fit the typical single-family house with 1.5 stories. a city villa is clear, works great, but how does the typical single-family house with an upper floor including roof slope work. let the roof slope start so high up that it also counts as a full story at the top?!
There is no trick!
"
Full stories are above-ground stories if they have a height of at least 2.30/2.40 m (depending on the state building code) over at least three quarters of their floor area" this typically characterizes the ground floor in single-story development. The attic is defined as the stories directly under the roof and above the eaves. Due to the roof pitch, they have a smaller usable floor area than the stories below (¾ of the ground floor area). By installing dormers, cross-gables, and other roof structures, the
usable interior space can be enlarged again. Depending on this, attics are also
mathematically classified as
full stories.
You can even have completely straight walls without slopes in the ground floor and attic in permitted single-story development if the attic becomes a recessed story (⅔ of the ground floor area). Example State Building Code SH: Above-ground stories are recessed stories if they recess relative to at least one exterior wall of the story below by at least two-thirds of their wall height.
Rhenish greetings
