....With all the talk about heat pumps, one must not forget that these are powered by electricity, and as soon as the heat output cannot be achieved due to external influences, additional heating is done with electricity.
With GWP and brine heat pumps, no electric heating element is required at all! With air heat pumps, it is only conditionally or partially necessary. In well-planned air heat pump systems, the share of the electric heating element amounts to just < 1% of the annual heating energy demand! Small potatoes in the overall context! ;-)
HB are also more salespeople than consultants nowadays!....In case of doubt, it is always better to sit down once with the local craftsman and get information about the individual systems.
Therefore, one should rather seek advice from an independent, objective technical building services planner and present the executing company with a complete planning/dimensioning. This directs their "design freedom" into the right and truly necessary channels! ;-)
