So I found the report very well done, entertaining, and truthful. Sad the examples but bitter reality.

Thanks to for the good recommendation!

I almost believed you. But the arrogant following paragraph makes me doubt that. Because again, this is not about you or your recommendation.

I have looked at it too. Yes, these are already sad and unfortunately also extreme cases. But you have to put it into perspective, something as complex as house construction, with craftsmanship, never runs completely smoothly. Some of it is simply stupidity. A house that is built too low, well, there is already a site plan in the planning stage, which is also part of the building application documents, I check how it will be in reality before I sign off on it. And people, let’s not forget, for most it runs quite smoothly or tolerably. You can’t expect more during a boom.

Tolerable is always relative, right? At least most people can live in the house. But the joy is probably greatly diminished for many owners due to the defects.

hm, well, on the one hand there are far worse things than being a little lower than others. You don't have to paint the devil on the wall now... but here in our area there are many houses and street sections that lie roughly a meter lower. I have even been inside such houses, and there wasn’t water standing in the hallway ;)
On the other hand, it was also a matter of chance for us. No one really knew how high the finished street would be. And so every neighbor smiled crookedly at us, that we are building "so low."
Now it looks like we are nicely level with the ground, many others have the 50cm safety height :)

I also found the contribution interesting... but I also like watching [die Bauretter]. Simply because you lose the "rose-colored glasses" view on the topic there and in some situations you remember that regarding this and that you should rather ask again, that you should definitely put this and that in writing, etc. Of course, for example with the point about the deeper house and the statement of the builder that the neighbors can now look in, I also thought "well, if that’s the only problem, he can be glad not to live on a slope." But honestly. There is no report that has no weaknesses at all
