Morning,
Just to make sure I understand correctly: you are supposed to sign something without the documents being complete? Drawings (dimensioned !!!!) are a basis of the contract, if the general contractor doesn’t want to provide them before signing, that is more than just worrying.

Counter question: Would you buy a car you have never seen, that you don’t even have a picture of, and the seller won’t even provide the dimensions? Sounds pretty absurd...

Best regards,
Andreas

Before we signed our construction contract, we had the complete floor plans and had already made several changes to them. We also precisely specified the window sizes beforehand. We visited several construction companies and no one wanted to sell us anything without floor plans.

Best regards

Hi, the floor plans are available exactly as everything else. We have also already seen the house in 3D on our plot. But the written offer does not include any floor plans. I’ll just call our building consultant tomorrow and ask him how he envisions the next steps.
Regards

Hello,

we were not given the floor plans before signing either, which I find completely okay, our house was of course basically already planned. Floor plans, exterior facade, windows, etc..

hello we also had a fixed price, everything worked out great + additional costs for special requests. But we also saw sketches etc. You don't buy something without seeing how it looks

When the house or the plans are finished, the equipment clarified, etc., then just sign a contract that includes all of this and make sure to get a signed copy of it. Then everything is clear, right? I have heard more than once that detailed plans are not gladly handed out, even by kitchen planners. But the contract should clearly state what you are getting, and the general contractor will have your signature and can be sure that you are building with them...
