Trees on desired plot, is felling allowed? Seeking advice

I once read about a (legal?) change. According to that, felling trees in private areas is allowed year-round, provided no one is nesting in them. However, this is probably a regional regulation.

I could name you off the top of my head numerous cities/municipalities where your "legal" change is not known :D Basically, breeding seasons must be observed; the only exception: if it is shrubs that are regularly trimmed. The respective tree protection statute usually always applies. Rhenish greetings

I don't want to demoralize you, but .... If your municipality has not enacted a tree protection ordinance, § 39 BNatSchG applies in my opinion. According to it, felling and pruning bans are in effect from March 1st to September 30th each year. Better ask the municipality again before you start chopping the wood ;) Rhineland greetings

While here (partly, and in any case justified) there is occasional discussion about noise emissions from heat pumps, air pollution caused by private heating has not yet received much attention from the public. I find that a pity ... Therefore: Better let the wood rot ;-).
