Simple answer: YES - for that money you get an architect-designed house. However, you more or less get a house from the general contractor or from the prefabricated house company for a similar price. They are all about the same (maybe the prefabricated house is a bit more expensive). All house variants can also be planned by an architect.
That's true, maybe not everyone knows that, we also "designed" our house (floor plan) ourselves and the general contractor or their architect then largely took it over or adapted it to their system. In doing so, the house even became a bit larger, otherwise it stayed the same. You can virtually negotiate everything in their contracts, including what you want to do yourself or assign privately (if you, for example, know someone) and then have the advantage of a fixed price. The architect can also make a cost estimate, but in all the cases I know it was exceeded by 10-20% (partly due to later special requests). With the general contractor, you only pay for the special requests; if nothing is added (which is almost impossible), you know down to the euro how much you pay (excluding incidental costs).
