I also think that a topping-out ceremony can probably take place in June. By then, the matter will be settled. A topping-out ceremony is a nice tradition, and especially among carpenters, the tradition is still upheld. Do you really want to live in a house where there was no topping-out ceremony, no topping-out speech, no shattered glass, and where you didn’t drive in the last nail? My topping-out ceremony was over 20 years ago, but I can still remember the day exactly.

We currently have the carpenters at the house, and at first it rained heavily all the time, and now that the weather is a bit nicer, there is "Corona". We will have a celebration with friends and acquaintances simply later. After all, we have a responsibility towards our guests, and I cannot rule out that the virus could spread with us then. BTW: I have never been to a topping-out ceremony so far, and I am probably a bit "unbiased" there.

Due to the current situation, we would probably postpone it as well. Maybe it can be creatively made up for in a few weeks, 1-2 months later, and you have to do a nail-driving competition or something like that.

It is more of a symbolic act anyway. However, I would not completely do without it. I consider postponing it to be correct and consistent.

Corona would be a reason, yes. But just because there is "only" a porta potty? Most stay for 2 hours and don't need it. Others don't have to use it. And for the rest who have to use it, it's an adequate mobile option to relieve themselves. Just make sure everything inside is clean. Catching up later is also good!
