I just guess that most people would prefer to avoid having to use a porta-potty. However, I wouldn’t know if I would attend a topping-out ceremony as a guest (this week/next week) because of "Corona"?

Just a quick side note, the topping-out ceremony will take place around June.

The entire crew of the [GU] was with us, who prefabricated the house in the hall over weeks and assembled it at our place, including the construction manager, architect, and the boss in person. In addition, neighbors, a few friends and family. The party went on until late in the evening, even the craftsmen stayed that long and ate and drank well. We would do it that way again.

By then, hopefully the wave of illness will have subsided.

I also think that a topping-out ceremony can probably take place in June. By then, the matter will be settled. A topping-out ceremony is a nice tradition, and especially among the carpenters, the tradition is still upheld.

Do you really want to live in a house where there was no topping-out ceremony, no topping-out speech, and no shattered glass, and where you didn’t drive in the last nail? My topping-out ceremony was over 20 years ago, but I can still remember the day clearly.
