Topping-out ceremony Lower Saxony (Lüneburg)

That’s right! But the official statement has to be made. And of course the celebration too, so that the house "gets a soul." Of course, the builders still have to hammer in the nail "that holds the house together."

Write a flyer and invite the permanent neighbors or in the new housing development the other builders as well. Invite us at the same time. It was a Friday in the Harburg district in summer for us: drinks on commission and chili con carne. In this weather, you have to tape the holes/window openings with foil so the wind doesn’t get too cold. Beer benches, music, beer, sparkling wine and shots, maybe even a heat radiator or something. The guests will take care of everything else. Have fun!

There was a fun party with us. But no craftsman had any time or desire left, they are all worn out.

With us, only exactly one carpenter stayed for the topping-out ceremony speech and did not stay afterwards. Otherwise, they would constantly have topping-out ceremonies.
