Yep, we spent weeks comparing the construction service description from different construction companies. We even visited the suppliers for bathroom/stairs/floors on site to directly factor in the costs/markups we need. This way, the house price shouldn’t change afterward, except for VAT, markups after the deadline, etc. However, the price we have here is very, very realistic for the house and unexpected costs afterward should not be significant, as we took the offer, the construction and service description, and everything around it very seriously.

It really isn’t a bargain either.

Then report back after the basement construction has been completed on how the budget plan looks. And also after the visit to the electrician and especially to the [Badbauer].

I am happy to keep you updated

The cellar finishing stage etc. is all included in the building and performance description as well as in the offer, excavation is done by the builder (so this has nothing to do with the house price) – if anything, the additional costs increase here, however, soil assessment and the offer from the civil engineer are already available, electrical plans/sockets/switches etc. all already selected and surcharges calculated, as described above, we have already been to the bathroom builder and have selected our bathroom

But I find that, for example, quite exaggerated. It always depends on how much you actually need new and what you then buy. With us, you could have crossed out a zero there and you'd be just under the actual amount, even though, for example, we bought the entire living-dining room new, except for the sofa.

Mhm yes, it really depends on what is needed.. Eventually, the money will still be needed, whether you want it or not

It also depends on how big the OP’s apartment currently is and what is already there. Maybe there's only "old" stuff there that he might not want to have in the new apartment for the next 5 years? I always think it’s not a bad idea to factor in the money right away, because in a few years money doesn’t just fall from the sky either.

But sure, furnishing an apartment can go from €0.00 up to infinity

Thank you very much for your answers and sorry for the late response.

That's quite a lot to come up against. Then I probably have to increase my budget and carefully recalculate everything.
Sometimes I wonder how one can afford to buy/build a house with a normal income, especially when children are added.
I wouldn't describe my income as bad, but as a single earner (worst case) it's still too little.
