How do you actually see it, if the base was already not level? Presumably, no one pointed out when commissioning that the tiler should compensate for something like that...?
My personal expectations are different! Basically, it’s quite simple, I have always told the relevant trades (everything that should look good visibly) (before and during execution), do it as you would do it for yourselves, and if additional work arises that is not in the offer, it will be settled upon invoicing! If you get someone who doesn’t speak up and just does the work according to regulations, then you have to be on site every day. Quite simple! If you don’t like it, tear it down and have it redone! Now that everything is finished, asking here in the forum whether the work done is correct is more than ridiculous. The tiler doesn’t do such work in one day. Our tilers were in the house for about 4-5 weeks. In other words, there is more than enough time as a client to intervene in time. Above all, tiles are a matter of appearance; no expert knowledge is needed. The argument "I am a layperson" doesn’t apply here. I still remember when tiling was done in my parents’ semi-detached house in the early 2000s (developer), the tiler had to redo work three times because my parents didn’t like the work done.
