Hello everyone,

I am planning to separate the living room and dining room in my new house with a tiled stove as a room divider.
Tiled stove as a tunnel design. Heatable from the living room.
Fresh air supply through a hole in the floor slab (no basement).
Heat grille to the hallway.
Heat grille into the room above the living room.
Radiant wall to the hallway.

What chimney diameter should I choose at a minimum?
What diameter should the hole in the floor slab for the fresh air supply be at a minimum?

What costs can I expect?

Thank you very much!

Regards

Wow, this is no small matter anymore. Through conversations with 3 stove builders, I can give you the following rough direction.

Firebox 3000-5000 (for me 5000)
Fireclay bricks and construction as a masonry heater 3000-5000 depending on the size of the wall (remember to have joints incorporated here!)

Chimney diameter depends on the output of the stove. The height of the chimney also plays a role here. For me, I need a 200mm chimney for 8-9KW.

Your idea of the stove will not be cheap. Always keep in mind that this is not economically justifiable, so even if you, like me, get the wood very cheaply (I pay 20€/RM), the thing will never pay off - it’s only for beauty.

Yes, it does not pay for itself. That's clear. What do you mean by shocks? So am I roughly right with 10,000€? Chimney height 8.33m Your KW number refers to the whole house, right?

It is significantly cheaper if you do it yourself and choose a Grundofen instead of the tile stove. First, the room heating load of the installation room must be known. I would dispense with the ventilation grille upwards (sound transmission). Not insignificant is the interaction with the primary heat generator and its heating surfaces. It can be combined quite well with underfloor heating.

When I google on the internet, the advantages of masonry heaters generally prevail. What is HK?
