Hello, for a recirculating cooker hood I used a third-party manufacturer and the device fits perfectly into the Faktum cabinet 60x57. However, I cannot attach the cabinet door because the device is mounted inside at the bottom and there is no space for the hinges there. My idea to solve this with purchased surface-mounted hinges failed in practice because there is too little space for non-Ikea hinges during opening and closing movements. I can install one hinge, the upper one, normally and also hang the door, but not the lower one because it is blocked by the installation of the cooker hood. An idea I had: to make a recess on the inside of the cabinet door so that I can attach the Ikea hinges at a different height there. Diameter is 35mm, depth is 13mm. Simply "drilling" is not an option. I don’t have a 35mm drill bit :) and the surface also needs to be flat. I currently have no idea how to do this at all, probably there is a tool I don’t know yet ... ?! Or can you have hinge recesses made afterwards at Ikea? Probably not ... thanks & best regards

The tool is called a hole saw, or a Forstner bit (?), available at a well-stocked hardware store.

Or go to the nearest carpenter and have them do the hole drilling, take exact measurements.

What surprises me right now with BSH is that the Monas are linked on the website, as well as the dimension sketches, you should look at something like that beforehand to see if it fits or how it can be made to fit.

According to the measurements, there is 2.5 cm of space between the range hood and the cabinet body on both sides. The hinge should fit in there. Or why doesn't it work?
