So, thanks again, the matter is settled :)

I just didn’t realize there are such drills, etc., with that the matter has become very neat now. I simply moved the hinges up by a few holes.

Why it doesn’t work at the original position can be seen very well here:
Ignore the very bottom hole, there was the base plate. The two above would be for the hinges, but with the metal strip for the trigger, it "just doesn’t work" there.

I think the drillings turned out really well: I couldn’t tell mine apart from the original now, if it weren’t clear :)

Best regards

In the picture, the two small holes appear slightly offset, but the image is probably misleading. With a straight mounting plate instead of the cross mounting plate, it probably would have worked without a new pot hole drilling, but the main thing is that it works. Since the air above the stove is also somewhat more humid when cooking, even with the extractor hood, I would cover the open hole so that nothing swells over time.

What can be used to cover something like that?

Just use waterproof wood glue or silicone, it also works for countertops at the cutouts.

If you seal the surfaces with silicone, maybe a cover cap that you can get from customer service will also fit. Otherwise, a piece of aluminum adhesive tape, decorative foil, ... basically anything that is vapor-proof.
