So we are back to the wall and the possibly better (worse) stone again but I gladly accept the compliment ^^ Some also like to say that the beer here with us is better, and above all the hearty food *laugh*

As I wrote, it is primarily about the different materials for me, but as Bauexperte (I think) also said, it seems to be the case that the desired stone, if and when it comes to that, is not processed or offered by every construction company. I would just like to know a few experiences, if there are any.

We built with Ytong, according to the Energy Saving Ordinance. However, since we just recently have electricians in the house, I can't say much about heating, heating costs, etc. We thought it was important to build without [WDVS]. Also, we believe that Germany is obsessed with insulation. So far, we live in a house built in 1964, modernized, but without a plastic shell. We have considered how long we can heat with gas for the additional costs/effort of [KFW]. If I take our heating load calculation and add a good amount on top, we have a gas advance payment of 50-60 € per month including hot water. For a house size of 154 sqm, I find that okay. However, our underfloor heating is already designed for a heat pump, so maybe we could switch at some point. You never know what will come. By the way, we actually chose our general contractor based on the stone he builds with.

Good evening,

That is probably wishful thinking You Bavarians may laugh at 0.25 but you can't handle the content, right

Rhenish greetings

I won't say anything about it now except: the content of 0.25 is just swill and not a proper beer D

Good morning Well, that’s a post after my question and also reflects my attitude *laughs* Jokes aside, thank you very much for the post. May I ask which Ytong you took? I think you then get a wall U-value of around 0.25–0.20, or how thick was your stone? For me, it’s exactly the same, that I don’t really want to build with ETICS and therefore the “stone” question is somewhat more important than maybe for others. The combination of gas and heat pump for the underfloor heating is of course not bad either. Ideally, one could also install photovoltaics and be prepared for everything. Did you notice big differences when searching for the general contractor because of the stone?

Oh, I know the region well since my mother is originally from there, from the Ahr valley to be exact, and we often visit relatives. A Kölsch is okay sometimes, but it’s like in an ad... with one bite it’s gone from your mouth. You always have to order a meter to get up to a liter. You can process the grapes better than the hops there
