The joint alignment from wall to floor is not symmetrical, what to do?

Does the glass wall then still get a door?

How large is the gap between the floor and wall joints?

Yes, that's what I mean.

Is it really the case that the tiler is allowed to lay tiles however he likes without talking to the customer first? With me, every trade that leaves a visible appearance after the shell construction has talked to me. The tiler spoke at record-breaking speed about random patterns, cross joints, profiles, and handed out 120 information sheets about what he has to comply with and especially what he does not have to comply with...

Something must have gone completely wrong here. Especially that apparently no one was on site even once while the tile guy was laying tiles... I went there and talked to the guy. That would have avoided some discrepancies. He gladly explained everything to me and showed me how he sets the tiles. Talk to the craftsmen, stop by, and occasionally bring coffee and rolls... helps a lot. Even if you have to take a day off...

Correcting a complete disaster easily costs a week of vacation, if not a month.

Thanks for your answer. Of course we were on site and talked to him and looked at the preparatory work. We had a whole week off on purpose, that's the annoying part. We just should have known when the tiles were going up on the wall, but we were not told that. When we came to the construction site the next day, the tiles were already up and that’s exactly what annoyed us so much because it could have been prevented by a short conversation. Especially since all the craftsmen also have our mobile number.
Oh, and of course there is catering at our construction site—I find that a given.

But anyway, however. For everyone who’s interested: we bit the bullet and had it corrected. Now everything is nicely symmetrical, the grout lines look great, the tiler really did a nice job. Effort: 1.5 days. I’m glad we decided that way now, otherwise I would have been annoyed forever. We definitely learned for next time.

Do you have pictures of the final result for comparison? :)

It’s completely on us. But it’s okay, we didn’t want to start a quarrel anyway. In the end, it’s now 1.5 days of effort plus some new tiles.

I have attached a final picture
