The building authority rejects the building application because the house is planned too far back

Hello community.

The bad luck regarding our house project doesn’t stop.
Today, after 3 months, the notice for the hearing from the building authority arrived.
The house exceeds the rear building line by almost 2m.
Unfortunately, the lady at the office will only be back on Thursday.
What options do we have now?
Can it not simply be changed and the house moved forward? Or does everything have to be reapplied for?
We are getting married on Thursday, and this is really hitting us hard now.

Best regards

I would primarily get your planner on board....

Hopefully, that is to determine that on his behalf.

The building boundary will probably have to be observed on your part; they usually won't compromise on such fundamentals.

You will probably have to resubmit the site plan; the house itself is unlikely to change much because of that.

Do yourselves a favor:
Step firmly on the planner's toes, then erase that from your minds and have a beautiful wedding!
The whole thing is not in your hands...

Ask the planner on what basis he determined the location of the house, why he did not adhere to boundaries/alignments/lines, and why he comes up with the idea of submitting something like that to the building authority without coordination.

As far as I know, there are now only two possibilities:

1. Objection to the rejection, but then you need valid reasons why the rejection is "wrong." (But it seems it is not.) To change the building application now, as far as I know, is no longer possible. Then only...

2. Submit a new building application that complies with the building boundaries.

And yes, kick the planner's feet sometimes.

So that means we can’t just submit a new planning and move the house 2m forward but have to start from scratch???

I would suggest you ask your planner. Or better yet, your building authority directly. Clarify under which conditions your project can be approved. Otherwise, there is nothing more to add to the explanations of .
