With the relatively low fixed prices offered by the “a better place” architects, would they even receive the @Gerddieter Approved seal?
Due to a lack of joint projects, I have no personal impression yet of how their prices can be explained. But I assume that they would not "fail" with , since I do not consider them to be clueless salon planning artists when it comes to prices. How far this group would generally be certifiable for a “seal” I don’t know: in my perception, they are rather an open association of cooperating architects, and it is not yet clear to me who is responsibly in charge there. They probably work closely with the “prefabricated house expert” whom I like to recommend, and mainly design "prefabricated" houses. My approach (and that of the architects I have found) is fundamentally different in that, as is well known, I recommend making the construction method decision first during the dough-rising phase. Whoever seeks my advice and is already biased regarding construction methods, I always try to lead back to the crossroads and have the preconception reviewed first. Of course, there are also reasons “pro (or even: contra) this or that,” but in the “remaining” over 60% of cases, preferences are based on false assumptions – namely the (supposedly) more solid / more durable “solid” house or the faster built / price-secure “prefabricated” house. Unfortunately, the respective “true core” of these popular (mis)beliefs is, in both cases, “not worth the tears.”
