Temporary power also through alternative suppliers?

I have a question about construction site electricity.

The connection pillar is located at the property boundary, and the construction site power box with a meter is connected to it. Are you dependent on (expensive) basic supply here, or can you conveniently find another cheaper electricity supplier, Yello, Vattenfall, xy?

Since you have a meter number, there should be nothing standing in the way, right? Has anyone done this before?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if that works. I remember seeing somewhere that [Baustrom] is a temporary installation and therefore always automatically runs on the basic supply tariff.
It's best to ask your network operator or just try switching - it can't fail more than that.

The following needs to be clarified:

1. The "cheaper" electricity tariffs often have a contract period of 1 year, at the end of which a credit is given (only this way does the overall price become cheap). The construction must therefore take at least 1 year for this to work.
2. Do the alternative electricity providers even offer "construction site electricity" or do they exclude this usage from the outset? (my suspicion).
3. If there is no extensive use of drying equipment and the screed heating program is not forced by a heating cartridge in the air-water heat pump, the electricity consumption remains within limits. The roofers just cut the visual decking today, cut off a few screws, and charged their phone... maybe 2kWh. So far, our construction electricity meter (shell construction is now finished) hasn't moved much. I mean, it's actually not worth switching providers for this.

Basically, it is not possible. You can't get a different provider on the construction site electricity meter.

But it's not that dramatic as long as the construction drying (heat pump) or especially during the shell construction phase, construction trailers and open shell constructions heated with fan heaters are not running on the construction site electricity. Then of course the meter runs up.
Should the shell builder include the construction site electricity in the price during the shell construction phase. Often, they bring the construction site box and meter anyway.

You apparently first get a tariff with a very expensive annual basic fee. As an offer, there is then a somewhat cheaper one both in the kwh price and in the basic fee. According to consultation, it would probably be possible to choose another provider. How long do you usually need the construction power for?

Up to directly before the screed with us. At that moment, the heat pump was put into operation and the normal meter was installed. The screed heating was then done by the heat pump.
