What kind of bunglers have you been dealing with? The pressure switch has no contact to the outside, it measures the differential pressure between living room and chimney – no drilling or such needed.

Still: That would have been -500 and I would have been in the region you both mentioned.

Fine: I would have had to recover the cable hidden in the wall and restore airtightness (comparatively very simple, I could have done it myself).

I switch the fireplace function on via the app on my phone and let it run. The chimney sweep doesn’t care about that, you’re right.

I don't know. I had such a document from the manufacturer of my controlled residential ventilation (company PLUGGIT). The BSFM wanted it and took a copy with him.

if you get such a certificate for the ventilation system from zehnder, please get in touch (I have the same system).
I wouldn't give up so quickly and would just ask directly. a higher pressure is only possible if the system is manipulated. but a pressure switch can be manipulated just the same...

for anyone who still has the choice: take the pressure switch. that way you are clearly on the safe side against the chimney sweep. you can also install it later, the important thing is really just the cable (flush-mounted).

As far as I know, Pluggit is very good and Zehnder is even better. They surely also have such documents.
