This is not a customary local enclosure, as it is a classic new development area, nor for the lawnmower robot.

What exactly is disturbing here? The electricity or the fence?

Nothing bothers me at all. This is a survey of opinions and a post meant to spark some thoughts.

What if you and your children lived shoulder to shoulder next to the said property, thus sharing the property boundary?

Then I would cut through the fence! Small animals should also be able to freely pass through the gardens (birds, squirrels, etc.). An electric fence has no place in residential areas. Maybe the dachshund doesn’t mind, but what about the small and crawling animals?

Once pinched, the child never touches it again. However, my area would be fenced off from their property, so their electric fence wouldn't be a problem...

In my childhood, these things were everywhere in the neighborhood at grandma's - of course, they were willows. But still, we touched them...

Hi,

The only thing that might annoy me is the constant click-click, and as it is described, it sounds like a nasty tripping hazard to me. It shouldn't be the case that someone breaks a bone there....

That someone ensures their dogs stay where they belong and don't constantly run after other people, "he's harmless, he just wants to play," I generally find very commendable. It would be great if more dog owners did that! But maybe it should be done in such a way that no one trips over the fence!

And no, this is not animal cruelty, the fences are harmless!

Best regards,

Andreas
