Submit a building application for the garage retrospectively

we would like to build the garage ourselves because the offer from the construction company for special dimensions (approx. 4m x 9m) is too high. However, in order to submit the building application for the garage together with the house, the company wants 450 euros. But I have also read that you can submit the building application directly with the garage manufacturer. Does anyone know what would be cheaper or how you did it?

We submitted the building application for the garage together with the architect on site so that we did not have to pay for two building applications. After that, we were open on how to implement the garage. For us, it also did not cost an additional €450. In Bavaria, you do not need a structural analysis for the garage, so we were able to build ours ourselves.

Everything in one go would of course be more convenient, but 450 euros seemed very high to me. We are building in NRW, perhaps you have to pay that much here?

Yes - every garage provider will handle the building application for you; depending on the provider from €50.00 upwards.

We had the building application for the garage prepared by our developer, although we will purchase it from another provider and this was decided from the beginning. We did not incur any additional costs as a result.

I see the four hundred fifty as a 'penalty payment' from the developer: "if you don't build with us, we'll just get the money from somewhere else..."

Does a separate building application for the garage really cost more than 450 euros???
