Hello everyone,

I would be interested to know how a bricklayer calculates the shell construction? Very roughly?

All our window lintels are in the ceiling. Using CAD I can determine the wall areas minus the window openings.

Does a craftsman calculate like that? For example, area with 35.5 Ytong?

Looking forward to any tip!

Regards, Alex

Just walls? It's pointless to calculate like that. You also need a foundation, basement or not, scaffolding or not, precast concrete slabs or not, concrete pump?, which bricks?, statics/steel/beams, etc. There is simply no answer to your question because you are asking the wrong question. Sorry. A shell constructor calculates just like any craftsman or self-employed person does. Material, personnel, risk/profit, if applicable surcharges due to special circumstances, etc. = price

Yes, the question is nonsense. Sorry.

Well, if the question is simply how the bricklayer determines the measurement then the answer is by wall area. 10 m long, 3 m high is 30 m². He then prices it under calculation as described by nordanney.

Hello,

yes, the question was a bit stupidly asked. The background was that a builder from the area told me that for window openings under 2.5m it is simply calculated....that can't be...

I have roughly put together my quantities now...

Where can I find something regarding a typical shell construction bill of quantities that I can use as a guide?

Maybe someone has a tip? Thanks, Alex

It is actually calculated for windows. This roughly balances out with the additional effort for masonry around the windows/headers, etc. Oh, the [Leistungsverzeichnis] is usually prepared by the architect, depending on the floor plan and construction method, which can vary greatly.
