Still considering gas heating for the new building?

Even if the radiator is turned off, the children's room should not have reached 17 degrees by the next morning, even in winter.

In our bedrooms it is always at least 21 degrees. Not everyone likes to sleep at such low temperatures.

And with today's building envelopes, you will never get a room 4 degrees cooler within 30 minutes, unless it is below zero outside and I ventilate shock style for half an hour. And even in this scenario this is possible without problems with underfloor heating, because I simply turn it off much earlier. The room hardly loses any heat, even without heating.

That probably has less to do with the underfloor heating!
What do you expect from a heating system? That it switches as quickly as in a car... from 0 to 100? Always switching between 17 and 24 degrees because 17 is too cold and 24 is too warm?
What does the body expect and want? Changing temperatures probably aren’t it, so the inertia of an underfloor heating system doesn’t even need to be mentioned – one has to understand how a heating system works and not just switch it on and off randomly. Then you can cope with a single temperature in a room.
The body does not want changing temperatures.

Yes, if homework was just done in the same room and now it’s time to sleep!

I have never needed that. However, I am looking forward to the controlled residential ventilation to no longer wake up in a musty smell. But that might be individual.

But seriously, if that is important for your well-being, look for an existing property. Radiators or not, the desired effect will not be achieved. Radiators massively waste living/usable space and limit furnishing options. Keep that in mind. They are also larger at the low supply temperatures than you might be used to.

17 degrees for sleeping etc. nonsense... according to that logic there shouldn’t be any children in the tropics or in Spain either.

I also don’t know anyone who would want to replace their underfloor heating once they have lived with it, even if only for a short time...

I love our underfloor heating precisely because of the inertia... that way I always have constant temperatures throughout the house and the gas bill is cheaper than the one in the rented apartment with radiators...

I have never understood why you have to keep fiddling with the temperatures.
