Everything has been pretty delayed on our end. Originally, we wanted to start construction in August, but it didn't work out for various reasons. Now we finally have the first construction site appointment with the site manager next week. However, I have concerns about whether it even makes sense to start construction at this time of year. Maybe it would be better to wait until spring? It will be a solid house with a basement. My concerns are that if the weather doesn’t cooperate and the roof isn’t on by Christmas, a lot of water and frost will get into the building materials over the winter. What do you think? Start or wait? We are not under any time pressure.

With us, it is supposed to start in 3 weeks, so a little later than you. How long do you want to work on the shell construction? 4 to 6 weeks and the thing is up, the roof might take perhaps one week longer. I see no reason to delay at all. Especially where to? March? It is much more likely to have unfavorable weather conditions then than before Christmas. [emoji6]

Which region? I also asked our architects the question and he says the only obstacle is below 5 degrees when it comes to plastering. Otherwise, since real winters are rare here in NRW (and if at all, they are to be expected from January), work will continue. I really hope something can still be done this year :)

Region between Frankfurt and Würzburg - [Aschaffenburg]. Normally, winters are also rather mild here. I'll just listen to the plan from the construction manager next week. But in general, it should still work out to have the shell construction closed by Christmas.

Same here, Middle Franconia. KW44/45 it starts, with a basement. The shell builder allows 30 days. They are quite relaxed and confident here... I wouldn't worry too much [emoji4]

In Saxony-Anhalt, it is supposed to start within the next 3 weeks. The goal of the architect and site manager is, of course, to have everything sealed by the end of the year (roof, windows). We'll see if it works out. Regarding the foundation slab, he said to make it on Friday, let it rest over the weekend, then proceed.
