Hello everyone,

we have largely completed our electrical planning.
Only the lighting in the stairway is proving to be a bit more difficult...
In our semi-detached house, we have a stairway with open steps that runs without a window.
In the basement (KG), the stairway ends in a corridor; on the ground floor (EG) it is open and directly in the dining/living room,
on the upper floor (OG) there is also a small corridor, and in the attic (DG) it is open and directly in the studio.

In the two corridors in the basement (KG) and upper floor (OG), a ceiling lamp is planned,
on the ground floor (EG) the lamp in the dining area can be switched on for lighting the stairway,
and in the attic (DG) a wall light is planned in the stairway.

It is still open whether we need additional wall lamps in the stairway between
basement and ground floor as well as ground floor and upper floor. Due to the open steps, I actually think the lighting should be sufficient. Furthermore, we are considering whether it makes sense to additionally install a socket as a buffer centrally in the stairway and just below the steps above it between basement and ground floor and between ground floor and upper floor, to which, for example, a motion sensor LED lamp could be connected at night so that you don’t have to switch on full lighting when half asleep on the way to the kitchen or bathroom.

Maybe someone here has experience or tips on whether and where to best plan something like this?

Many thanks in advance for all feedback!

In your contribution history, I see several individual questions, but apart from the kitchen door, the complete visual representation of your house is still missing. That makes it difficult to contemplate useful answers.

I already thought it would be difficult with the text alone... What exactly would help? Floor plans?

Floor plans yes, always. Also for your further questions that may still arise (?) - especially for the stairs, of course always good to have sections with them. Elevations perhaps, as far as they are useful for clarification, how the house is styled. Possibly also photos, for example of the type of staircase that inspired you to want one like that.

Text alone is always annoying: we lack the background info from your mental movie.
