Stair stringer partially in front of window - leave stringer open?

Dear forum members,

we have just received the planning of our U-shaped staircase. As already feared, it will partially run in front of the window in the hallway. One idea from the staircase builder is to leave out the stringer in the visible window area and to add a step that is located in front of the window. It looks good on the drawing at first, but I don’t know if it will look good in reality if the stringer runs so irregularly...? Surely, it could also look good through the window, but I am still not quite sure...

Attached are photos of the planning... Thank you for your opinions!

Would have left it like that. Google "Treppe vor Fenster." There are some photos that are very similar. I don't necessarily find that tragic.

You can certainly raise the window a bit without any reason. Or take a round one....

Is the window already fixed in that spot? Otherwise, I would recommend two smaller windows that follow the staircase. If still possible and it also fits visually.

We had planned 3 narrow but tall windows in the stairwell. I then changed that. The windows now basically run upwards along the staircase.

The window already exists. Nothing can be changed anymore.

I could imagine that this unevenness caused by the cut-out stringer doesn't catch the eye much, since it follows the window. But it might not look exactly great either. Apparently, the staircase designer was bothered by it, which is why he offered the new variant. Maybe he knows what he's doing...
