Hello everyone, we are now discussing the stair details. There are three points:

the height of the stair railing (left on the plan) measured from step 5, poured in concrete with a slope so that it is always roughly the same height at the respective steps.

[*]0.9 m to 1.2 m are available options. 1.2 m seems the safest and would allow the railing to be led on the inside. However, it also takes up the most "generosity" because you can no longer look over it as well and it is simply higher

the position of the door to the storage room

[*]as drawn or at the height of step 1? or further recessed towards the top of the plan?

height of the wall at eye level

[*]all the way up or about 1 m above FF OG (would then transition into the fall protection on the upper floor)

Thanks for your input!

Are you getting tangled up in details now?
normal door to the storage room, flush with the floor in a wall, parallel to the bathroom wall (right)

P.s. Stay calm! :)

The details also need to be planned ;-)
So you mean that the wall fits like that and doesn't intrude too much into the hallway? Okay.

Yes, leave the door as is. The wall in the stairwell up to where it is now, then make a 30cm-40cm bend to the left according to the plan and extend it all the way to the back. You will never really be able to use the lower part of the stairs and with the niche you create space for a shelf. We have it like this:

Oh I like that!

Okay, one more vote for not having the plan top back. We had also considered starting both the railing wall and the door wall only with the second step, so that the first step then protrudes into the room. We are still thinking about the masonry. What we also considered was to do the masonry and leave a rectangular recess in the wall of the railing wall (on the plan left next to the front door) for a sliding drawer. Winter hats and such could go in there, close to the wardrobe. What do you think of the idea?

You mean something like that? Yes, we had the idea too :-) However, it’s not fully developed yet. For us, it will just be an additional storage option for something I don’t know yet :-D
