Where did you place the power supply and how did you run the cables (which ones?) to the strip?

The transformer is located in a cavity in the wall, accessible through an inspection hatch on the other side of the wall. The RGB cables to the strip simply go into the wall at the beginning to the cavity with the transformer. Since the whole thing is still controlled via home automation, there is also an RGBW dimmer connected in between.
