I will take some measurements tomorrow and can tell you more then. I contacted the GU on Friday and explained the problem, I'm curious to see what they will say.

He is a building consultant from the Bauherren-Schutzbund who has been doing this since 1997. I gave him all the planning documents before signing the contract and asked him to review them, so one could say he should have seen it. But I see the GU more responsible here as he signed the S...... and receives most of the money. The building consultants also protect themselves by not guaranteeing a complete content review of the documents.

18.xx rise and 26.xx tread would be sufficient for me. Would an overhang of 12cm at the stair entrance be okay from your point of view? Just like the example staircase, except that I have a wall instead of a railing and the stair opening ends flush with the wall.

... and on mobile (for weeks!!!) I often have to reload the page.

That it is more of a guessing game than a detailed drawing must be immediately obvious to the construction supervisor. So how did it go: was the general contractor himself the structural builder, or did he hire someone who coincidentally or from experience built what the general contractor meant with his notation?

What would be enough for you doesn’t matter anymore. Now what was approved must be built.

Why is that so important with the staircase? A solid wood staircase was approved.

The general contractor is the structural builder himself.

The building permit generally applies to the building described in the graphical explanations of the application. The material is not important to the building authority, but I would not recommend deviating from the number and dimension of the risers.

Okay. Can we still change it and send something to the building authority so that the change can be made?
