Spots in the kitchen above the countertop, but which ones?

I understood that the lighting in the kitchen should be around 500lm /m2.

Spots or not: I have never had to illuminate my kitchen.

We have 3 rows of 4 spots each in the kitchen, so 12 ceiling spots (68mm)

Would you like to post a photo? I saw a kitchen with tons of spots and no upper cabinets in another forum this morning. She deleted her photo and post after responses because everyone criticized the lack of task lighting :rolleyes:

Hopefully COB strips or at least behind diffuser panels.

These are available pre-assembled in many lengths and lumens. I installed 90 cm long ones directly under the 90 cm built-in cabinets.

Again, for general understanding. The original poster was concerned with the ceiling lighting of his kitchen area, not lighting under hanging cabinets. The drywall builder made recesses in the ceiling, not in a countertop or kitchen cabinet. Is a photo still wanted of my 12 spots? 12 spots in the hanging cabinet would be a bit heavy.

I can take a photo with the spots turned on at night in the next few days. Each spot delivers 345 lm. The other holes are for ventilation and the dining room lamp.
