Hello everyone.
Our Panasonic air conditioner has been running since mid-April and we are very satisfied.
We have a console unit upstairs and a wall unit installed in the living room downstairs.
Each with an outdoor unit.
After some experimentation, we start the units during heat in the afternoon around 3 o'clock.
Living and bedrooms are cold within 10 minutes.
The rest of the house takes about 40 minutes and is then also cooled down to a comfortable temperature.
However, about 1 degree warmer than the rooms where the units are installed.
The ventilation works as hoped and distributes the cool air throughout the house.
The power consumption is negligible. In June, we used about 60 kWh and the systems ran every day until sunset.
That is necessary! If you turn off the units during the day, the house warms up very quickly again. In the evening, when the sun is gone, it stays cool until morning.
Both units are so efficient that you can simply keep them running.
Since the house cools down so quickly, it does not make sense to run the system all day. Starting it shortly before coming home is completely sufficient.
So we are very satisfied and can recommend this combination to everyone. :)
Thank you very much for the experience report! We plan to install a 7 kW air conditioner with a wall unit at the highest point of our KfW55 house. Since the house is designed quite openly, we want to place the unit as centrally as possible in order to reach as many rooms as possible. The installation is planned on the north side, so that the cool air is blown towards the south side. We are optimistic that the cooling capacity will be sufficient to comfortably regulate the temperature of the entire house.
