How big is the effect at which ceiling height? Why should it do that? The so-called summer bypass is of course only active when it is colder outside than desired inside. But even here the effect is rather small.

Putting the actual topic aside...
You built a KfW55 efficiency house and probably received a government subsidy for it?
By installing the split air conditioning units, you are changing the original conditions that your energy consultant calculated for your energy-efficient building. However, the KfW excludes changes to the building envelope for 10 years in its related conditions. Does that apply to you?

No, that does not apply. We exceed the standard and did not use any funding. At that time, KfW loans were no better than those of regular banks. Repayment grants were only available from the 40 and 40+ standard. The effort was not worth it for us.

Meaningful cooling via controlled residential ventilation only works effectively at 5 air changes per hour and above. Normally designed controlled residential ventilation systems are far below that. Therefore, neither the positive nor negative effect is significant.

Ceiling temperature can be calculated: floor temperature x (1 + (0.1 x ceiling height)) Naturally, insulation, solar radiation, etc. also play a role. But this formula is generally used.

Rick2018 did not write anything else. Because the summer bypass switches off the heat recovery. Because the summer bypass is nothing other than a flap that prevents outside air from flowing through the heat exchanger.

Wrong, he wrote it exactly the other way around.
