Many thanks for your opinions!
Two more questions:
1. Is the brine-to-water heat pump sufficient for adequate hot water (drinking water) heating? Or do you need something extra?
2. How are your soil properties? Regarding regeneration: we have more clay, and it's completely waterproof – that wouldn't be so good for the probe...

Regarding 1: Completely sufficient. Our heat pump holds 300 liters. 2. For us: Mostly slate down to 70 meters deep.

Of course, the drilling depth and the power of the heat pump are adjusted according to the extraction capacity. There are brine heat pumps for entire residential complexes. The "worse" the soil, the lower the extraction capacity per meter, so you have to drill deeper. It’s not a question of feasibility, but only a financial one, since every meter drilled costs money. It is especially important to install only one borehole if possible. Some companies shy away from >100m because of mining law and the need for permits, but you save yourself many potential problems that can arise from connecting multiple boreholes, e.g. ventilation or flow behavior.

I know you wrote that your property is small... I still want to mention the [Ringgrabenkollektor], it is an uncomplicated and inexpensive surface collector with good extraction performance, especially in clay soil. If you are interested, just google the term.

No idea what is at 80m, but at the top we also have clay. However, the soil changes further down

At the Bundesverband Geothermie or the geological services of the federal states, there are maps available on the heat extraction capacity/thermal conductivity of the soils, which are sufficiently informative for a preliminary assessment. With us, it was almost complete throughout the entire depth of the rocks.
