Hm.. I personally also find the topic of photovoltaics and batteries very interesting. Of course, only from the perspective that you also save something or that it is economically viable. Just buying it for the "green thumb".. I earn my money too hard for that.

I found another article on the subject. maybe it is allowed to stay.

I will definitely continue to follow it here.

I had to remove the link according to the terms and conditions.

Anyone interested in the article can gladly search under the terms "Powerwall" and "Wirtschaftswoche."

interesting article I do deal with this topic from time to time, but for now only out of interest. As already mentioned, the available capital is still needed elsewhere (outdoor area). In addition - as was briefly touched on in the articles - other manufacturers (Daimler or BMW subsidiary) are now apparently pushing into the market, which could possibly move prices again. Time will come, battery will come .

Yes, of course one hopes that this might give the market a bit of a boost (thus also stabilizing the prices). Since I still have time until it finally happens for me (almost 2 years), I naturally hope that a lot will still happen. Of course, the wheel won't be reinvented.. but who really knows that

I am really curious as a bowstring

Just a little addition, since some users keep talking about wanting/will use the produced electricity to support the heating and present quite "interesting" calculations.

The heating is naturally used in the cold season. This season, in turn, is characterized by often heavily overcast skies and short days. One should not underestimate the effects of such weather on production.

We have an approx. 5.3 kWp system with a south/southeast orientation on the roof. At peak times, the system produced between 34-38 kW.

Last week – the current weather should be known – made me keep biting the tabletop. We produced a total of approx. 8.7 kWh over the last 5 days (13th-17th Nov.). Included is an "outlier" upwards with 4.5 kW. Otherwise, the daily production ranged between 1-1.5 kW. Yesterday, the system hit a low with a massive 0.75 kW.

With that – logically – you cannot cover your own electricity demand even remotely. Correspondingly, of course, not the electricity demand of the heat pump. In autumn/winter, one often produces far less electricity than is used for personal consumption. In summer, however, when the heat pump is needed mostly for hot water, you produce good surpluses.

The self-consumption rate is currently at a dreamlike 60-100%.

Isn't it currently the case that the electricity used from the grid to operate the heat pump is still subsidized or cheaper? Although the calculation could ultimately change a bit again?

There are special heat pump tariffs (from some providers). However, you have to install and have a separate meter read for that (which also costs money). We decided against it because it wasn't cost-effective.
