What gillmaand writes about pile foundations can also give you courage. I think that sounds like a manageable amount.

I would ask the municipality if the soil conditions were known.

How much did the plot cost?

...which is less than half of the above-mentioned €40,000.

I am trying to take some of the shock away from someone here.

Yakari probably realized himself that something did not go quite ideally. I don’t understand why the tone is quite harsh then. At that point, the damage has already been done, he must be aware of that. He probably doesn’t need accusations on top of his own anger.

I would now, before completely panicking, first look at what I can realistically expect cost-wise. The prices for foundations vary greatly, as can be seen here in the thread. This is due to the region and the type of foundation required. For me, the soil replacement was quite cheap. I paid 2.7€ per m³ for removing and storing the soil sideways and 12.60€ for the delivery and installation of fill gravel. So, see what needs to be done and inquire about the cost.

Hello,

I assume this statement refers to my answer?

I can explain it to you quite simply. The following expressions annoy me: "Of course, the poor soil quality was not known before the purchase" and "Is all this legal?" I’m fed up with the fact that – once the child has fallen into the well (crystal ball mode on – the original poster probably has a gap in the financing for additional founding costs – crystal ball mode off) – the mistakes are sought in others, but not in oneself. It is a mystery to me why potential builders hardly find their way to the internet BEFORE undertaking such a large investment as building a house. As soon as the first difficulties arise, everything surprisingly works smoothly; and by that, I don’t necessarily mean construction forums like this one.

Of course, you can interpret it that way. But you can also understand that through this honest formulation (where I think I held back) the focus is at least now sharpened and thereby future investments will be better considered; provided that is even possible with a completed financing.

Rhenish regards

I would immediately inquire with the municipality about how high the development costs for the property will be??? Due to the street and the sewer, significant development costs could arise for you because of the increased foundation costs (if these also become necessary in the public area).
