So if at all, just like in the pub. Then there should be cola, water, and a nice cocktail, depending on which button you press.

We discovered the Grohe system at a trade fair, including one that dispenses boiling hot water. With it, you could also select how much carbonation you want. These fittings are certainly practical, but I find the costs quite steep. I'd rather carry crates.

Well, what does practical mean? To be honest, I don’t find these things very practical at all. Normally, you don’t want to get up from the sofa or dining table for every glass. That’s why you take a bottle with you. Whether I fill it with water and quickly carbonate it with the soda thing or it already comes ready from the tap doesn’t matter. You can also make flavor more easily in the bottle; there are plenty of flavor mixes in all variations. You just have to clean the bottle afterwards and not an entire system. I think these systems belong in companies, schools, or similar places. Simply where there is a lot of "walk-in traffic" and hardly anyone brings a bottle with them. In a private household, simply impractical or unnecessary.

We have both in the company kitchens: 1. Faucet with carbon dioxide/soda maker, adjustable 2. Separate from that, the 100-degree faucet for tea water

These faucets are fed by a central water system with tap water, which is filtered before it enters the drinking water cycle.

The items are very nice and practical - in my opinion, they are reserved for use cases that involve more frequent use (such as in a company, etc.). Otherwise, the purchase has less utility, since the investment is very high. These items were invented so that 20, 50, 100 people don’t come to the workplace with their kettles and coffee machines and the kitchen looks like the VW delivery parking lot in Emden, only with kettles and SodaStream soda makers.

The 100-degree faucets tend to fail frequently after 3 years and need to be repaired. They break down one after another.

The soda makers use - like Sodastream - a carbon dioxide bottle. Pari.

So - although the faucets fascinate me despite the enormous price: For 1: We also deliberately bought a Sodastream (the one with glass bottles) instead of such a faucet. Used daily, it has proven very effective, especially since we have enormously good and tasty tap water. Yes, the time needed to make a bottle of water is a bit longer than with the faucet, but it only takes a few seconds.

For 2: When I boil the amount of water for a cup of tea in the kettle, it is so fast and energy-efficient, the faucet cannot keep up.

I am of the opinion that in a normal household area, a Sodastream and a good kettle are completely sufficient. At total purchase costs of 130 euros, also manageable.

Best regards Thorsten

Depends on the demand. Personally, the Sodastream puts too little carbon dioxide into the water for me. I always think it tastes like the last sip from a purchased bottle.

Therefore, I would be interested to know if the larger devices can do better.

Hi,

I am a bit surprised. Well - I myself drink water with quite little carbonation. But my wife with a lot of carbonation. The Sodastream works perfectly fine for us. The water my wife makes would make me float away with bubbles in my stomach, that's how strong it is.

The "Max" setting on our G***e faucet at the company corresponds to when you properly pump the Soda-Stream. Low is one push on the Sodastream. There is really nothing to complain about with the Soda-Stream device - unless it is defective or the cartridge is / becomes empty. But empty cartridges also happen in the company.....

Best regards
Thorsten
