Sockets: Always prepare sets of 5? What is the best way?

Nonsense, I would leave it...

Yes and no. In some places, I currently think that a triple socket is sufficient. Therefore, I would like to install a triple socket but drill 5 holes directly so that, for example, in 5 years I can easily turn the triple socket into a quintuple socket.

But you have to close the two remaining holes again. At least for now... It means that in, for example, 5 years you will have to drill again anyway... That's why I think it's nonsense.

Yes, the opinion on this is clear. Therefore, I will not do it. Your arguments are comprehensible. But I will have to make an empty box for the clamping, or do you have another idea?

The greater effort compared to drilling now or later, I see in the control of the future sockets. The cables to them should already be laid now. Considering individual switchabilities, this results in quite a tangle of reserves, for which I already see a "multi-socket" becoming necessary just for its accommodation. Compared to the variant "all five ports immediately," I only see you saving the difference between two socket inserts and two blank covers. Clearing the extension cord jungle would be a main motive for electrical modernizations for me in general. However, little is known about what the future holds: in twenty years, we might have many small consumers using a successor to today's USB.

You take deep flush-mounted boxes and clamp in one of the boxes that are there anyway.
