I also see ground anchors or fastening on point foundations as effective. Under the machine, minimal paving, then 15cm of gravel and 4cm of paving slabs should be sufficient.

So 400kg is not that heavy. Four pad foundations should be enough, 80cm and around 30x30 or better 40x40.

I just thought that a 1.30x1.10m foundation, with say 40-50cm depth, would be easier to implement than 4x 40x40cm point foundations with 80cm depth.

Why. With an earth auger, it’s done in no time. It doesn’t even take 5 minutes for each hole. With a shovel, 1.10x1.30x0.60 takes quite a while.... unless a digger does it. With the larger area, there is naturally more earth involved that may also need to be removed, and you need more gravel than foundation. For all small things like garden houses/sheds/terraces, I would use pad foundations.

Thank you very much. Earth augers with 150-200mm and a tamper foot are available for rent very close by.

So four holes with the 150-200mm auger, trying to "expand" these to 40x40cm, 80cm deep.

Is coarse limestone gravel and a PE sheet still required? If yes, how thick should the limestone gravel and the concrete be at 80cm depth? Steel reinforcement also for the pier foundations?

Regular screed concrete or is the concrete without mixing (ready-to-use rapid concrete), which is also available at the hardware store, also suitable?

There won't be much space between the pier foundations then. I would just remove 10-15cm of lawn and spread gravel. I didn't want to lay stones there specifically, especially since I certainly won't manage to do that neatly ;-)

Whoever can manage the foundation shouldn't have trouble with a few paving stones. ;)
