I also have a north/south roof with a 22° pitch. Both sides fully occupied, a total of 20.5 kWp. I would omit any optimizers if the roof is shading-free.

I believe there are different regulations in the [Erneuerbare-Energien-Gesetz] starting at 30 kWp. Maybe it is better to stay slightly below that.

Do I want the grid operator to regulate my photovoltaic system? Not at all.
So I would stay below 25 kWp.

Thank you very much for your numerous answers. I think I will stay under 25 kWp. Can you recommend a battery storage for me? I will get the following inverter: Huawei SUN2000-10KTL-M1(15 kWp) and SUN2000 -6KTL-M1 (9 kWp) Hybrid Inverter High Current Version

I installed Solis inverters and Pylontech batteries in my photovoltaic system (17.5kWp & 10.5kWh). If I were to set up a photovoltaic system again, I would completely go with Huawei (Sun + Luna), because here everything works perfectly together and it is not annoying to have to enter the batt parameters in the inverter. It took quite some time until everything was properly adjusted.

You cannot attach other storage if you want to use the WR from Huawei. Then it actually only works with Huawei storage.

Everything else only causes unpredictable problems. As mentioned above, the Huawei system works perfectly together.
