Hello!
Oh dear, you have been discussing here diligently; I haven't been able to keep up with that, I'm really sorry. The building plans needed another maturation phase... Of course, you are right: The plot is anything but ideal. However, we are quite fixed regarding the region, and meanwhile, we have really seen almost all available plots here. All have flaws, even if it's just that the well-oriented ones are simply far too small :-/
The location of this plot is still simply great, the village at a perfect distance from the city (short commute to work), and the house practically right at the edge of the field. Exactly as we wish, in other words.
Anyway, we have not remained inactive with our ideas. I have tried to implement some suggestions for the floor plan, and tomorrow we are going with our proposals to an architect of (another) timber construction company. However, it is not yet decided with whom we will build.
Here are the current plans. Maybe you want to add your two cents *g*
We are totally dissatisfied with this peculiar children's bathroom. An architect will have to take another proper look at that.
We currently have many windows, but of course, that comes at the expense of usable wall space, especially in the living area. That still needs to be discussed. By the way, the box between living and dining is an aquarium.
Otherwise, I could basically imagine it like this; what do you think about the floor plan?
Here are the pictures ([Fassade/Farbe bitte ignorieren]):
