I have the same thoughts as No cellar in the corner and if so, then a residential floor in the basement with ground floor and attic conversion. By the way, I count 6! rooms, roof terrace and cellar as extras ;) Why not place the driveway in the east?

Hello Haydee,

yes, you have very well hit a relevant point of our considerations :).
You don't notice the street.

And indeed, moving a little further forward is a possibility we are also considering. Initially, we thought of it like this: wide front, house at the front on the wide part of the plot. Our architect thought that was really bad, he even said he wouldn't want to plan it that way. He actually convinced us of the advantages.
We might go a little further forward, but definitely no more than the neighbor to the west.

Best regards

I can't help but think of Udo Jürgens: "aber bitte mit Sahne!" :) In view of the house project presentation, I have the impression of a slightly disturbed or at least very nonchalant attitude towards budgets. As much as partial basements are usually economically a waste of money, I am nevertheless amazed here by an (additional) basement below a lower floor. The drawing on the property should have been clearer - it seems to me that the staircase protrudes into the building line (?) By the way, your first name and your comments have probably misled me a bit so far; I wouldn't have guessed you to be under 40 :-)

Hello again and thanks for the first comments that already give me some food for thought: Yes the basement - we never wanted one - because we would "only" use it for the technology and storage... otherwise basements are usually unpleasant rooms for me, I don't like to do my hobbies there, I don't want to have my office or guest room there either... The GCs talked us a bit into the basement, not more expensive than filling up etc. etc.... As I already said - we would like to do without a basement, a "living basement" is not our thing ;) - hehe the age and the name - I also find you hard to assess - your comments inspire me with their expertise and sometimes also confuse me quite a bit

Who is talking about a living basement?

Regarding the basement issue, I think, firstly, you will easily be "overruled" by the property here, and secondly, a basement will inevitably provide living spaces on the valley side. By the way, it would be helpful for the discussion to draw the house into the site plan that includes the elevations. It also seems to me, contrary to the lay tendency to stack floor plans, that the house must be developed from the terrain section – otherwise, the sum of your and the property’s wish lists will become too expensive – so you will have to "sit down at the table" with the property. Otherwise, I fear sustainable parallels to the project of (see ).

I count to the age of fifty-two and my competence, oh yes, I have already read the most diverse assessments about it ... there was virtually something for everyone :-)
